About the Collection
In 2005, I created a jewelry collection using drinking straws. It was the first collection I designed for my brand, and I named it after myself: Burcu. Within a few years, I reinterpreted the collection, replacing the drinking straws with silver and gold tubes. As I observed these forms, they reminded me of an arrangement of tiny leaves, inspiring the creation of the Leaves collection. In 2023, I introduced pearls to the designs—perhaps influenced by the experience of becoming a mother!
