Redetermined Destiny

In some cultures, hands are believed to be a source of one’s destiny. The Redefined Destiny is designed to look like a toolkit that can be used to achieve a desired future. The set includes a line template, a pincer, and three knives. It focuses on the three most visible lines in the palm of the hand to create a template that highlights the desired lines to change one’s life path. The user is instructed to hold the knives in their hand for a while and cut themselves by pressing the blade into their palm to create new lines indicated in the template. Based on the belief that the shape of the hand is also a factor in determining destiny, the pincer is used to change the entire shape of the hand by squeezing it every day until it reaches the desired shape. My goal is to create the idea of the possibility of using this set rather than to convey how the future will change when used.
